A weary single mom of four, overwhelmed with a flood of problems, was just barely making it through each day. When I asked her how she was doing, she cried, “I’m slipping! Doing all I can to find my footing!”
After praying for her, I gathered these scriptures about finding secure footing that have been a great encouragement to me, and printed them out for her to read whenever she needs that extra strength to go on:
♥ It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. (2 Samuel 22:33-34)
♥ You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way. (Psalm 18:36)
♥ The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. (Habakkuk 3:19)
♥ He will not let your foot slip — he who watches over you will not slumber. (Psalm 121:3)
♥ But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold….till I entered the sanctuary of God.
Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Those who are far from you will perish; you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. (Psalm 73: 2, 17. 23-28 )
♥ Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119:105)
♥ Jesus said, “I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. No one comes to the Father but by Me.” (John 14:6)
♥ To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.(Jude 24-25)
